Installation, Completed 2022
Worrimi Country, Barrington NSW

Selected and developed as one of the first two permanent works for MidCoast Council's Barrington Coast Art Trail, 'Undertow' is a sculpture that responds to a brief for works which tell the stories of local community, flora and fauna.

Our tank is decomissioned, which provided an opportunity to drill into its surface and create a work which challenged the expected format of a static painted mural with a novel installation that responds dynamically to the touch of visitors and changing conditions of the site. Materials were selected for their longevity and poetry as they aged.
