The Brunker Rd development is a proposal for Medium density housing on a small lot in the Adamstown Renewal Corridor. Critical of the SEPP 65 model for development that is churning out building after building that all look the same. we developed a more honest and clean approach.

How can we develop more with less?

The form and function were developed concurrently The simplicity of the form speaks of the buildings need to fulfill it’s functional requirements (without the fake,  frilly extras) whilst the articulation in the facade is used to provide depth to the windows and accommodate the structure/services. The windows and decks become a subtraction of the mass and the roof references the rhythm and articulation of the surrounding residential dwellings. What is achieved is something unique that is sympathetic to the neighbourhood, gives back to the community, is cost effective and returns a higher investment for the developer and user.
